Joseph Smith First Vision Mormon TheologyMormons believe first and foremost in God the Eternal Father and in his Son Jesus Christ. All mormon beliefs and doctrines are based on the teaching of Jesus Christ as taught to us in the Holy Bible and other sacred books, and focus on his Atonement for us. All other teachings are based upon this.

The first prophet of the Mormon Church (officially know as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or LDS Church was Joseph Smith. As a prophet of God he translated the Book of Mormon. The Church was officially founded in 1830. Feel free to learn more about basic Mormon Beliefs.
